Glean in Slack: Proactive Thread Summarize

Glean's Proactive Thread Summarization helps you quickly get up to speed on lengthy conversations, so you can respond and resolve issues efficiently.

Glean automatically identifies long threads where you are explicitly mentioned and offers to summarize them.

  • When you are tagged in a long thread, you receive a Glean prompt.

  • The summary includes the context of the original message, an overview of the discussion, and highlights what may be required from the user.

How it works​

Proactive Thread Summarize is accessible in channels where Glean can answer questions proactively. The summary is only visible to the user who requested it after being tagged.
