Rippling
The Rippling custom connector brings Rippling identity and employee data into Glean. It indexes Rippling users for connector identity resolution.
The connector does not index Rippling documents for content search. Worker records remain available in Glean People for employee profiles, People search, and organizational information.

Prerequisites
To set up the Rippling connector, you need the following ready before contacting Glean Support:
- Rippling API key: a bearer token with the
users.readandworkers.readscopes. - HTTPS network access: the connector must reach the Rippling API.
Supported objects and content types
The connector indexes the following Rippling data:
- Users: the connector adds Rippling users to its identity store for identity resolution.
- Workers: the connector can add worker records to Glean People. Worker data can include names, email addresses, titles, departments, managers, employment status, dates, teams, and business units.
Records without an email address are not indexed. Groups are not supported.
How permissions work
This connector does not index documents or document permissions and does not set allow_anonymous_access. Rippling users support connector identity resolution, while the connector sends worker records to Glean People.
Sync behavior
The connector retrieves the full list of users and workers from Rippling on each crawl. You can configure whether to include terminated records and whether to send worker records to Glean People.
The connector supports full and incremental syncs:
- Full sync: replaces previously indexed users and employees and removes records that Rippling no longer returns.
- Incremental sync: adds or updates users and employees without removing missing records.
The Glean team configures the crawl schedule and sync mode for your deployment.
