Search, ground, and act on your Gmail in Glean
Authorize Google Tools and Glean gets read and write tools right away, so it can search threads, read messages, and draft and label email for each user. Turn on data crawling and indexing for permission-aware search over your email.
Choose your path
Which path is yours depends on your Glean deployment, not on when you personally connect Gmail.
New setup
You're on a new Glean deployment, created on or after August 14, 2026. Authorize Google Tools once and Glean gets read and write tools right away. Turn on data crawling and indexing to add permission-aware search.
Previous setup
You're on an existing Glean deployment. Even if you're connecting Gmail for the first time, keep the setup you have to manage domains, delegation, indexing scope, and the crawl.
