Choose your Zoom setup
Use the guide that matches the Zoom setup page in your Glean workspace. The flow available in your workspace determines which instructions apply, not whether you have connected Zoom before.
- Use New setup if the page shows Connect, Set up indexing, and Review setup.
- Use Previous setup if the page shows a single authorization form for the Zoom indexing connection.
Both paths use the same recording index and permission models. The new flow also configures Zoom tools through a separate OAuth app.
New setup compared with previous setup
| Capability | New setup | Previous setup |
|---|---|---|
| Setup flow | Connect, Set up indexing, and Review setup | One combined connector form |
| Tools authorization | A customer-created, user-managed Zoom OAuth app | Not configured by the indexing form |
| Indexing authorization | A separate step authorizing Glean Search Crawler for Zoom | Authorize Glean Search Crawler for Zoom from the combined form |
| Indexing settings | Zoom base URL, optional crawl start date, and available recording-access settings | The same crawl and recording-access settings |
| User access | Choose the intended user access during review | Use your workspace's access controls |
| Tool management | Review tools and access from the connector's Tools tab | Configure tools separately if your workspace offers them |
| Where to start | Set up Zoom | Set up Zoom with the previous setup |
The tools connection does not authorize recording indexing. In the new flow, complete the separate indexing authorization to make recording transcripts searchable. Each user authorizes tools with their own Zoom account, while the crawler uses the account that authorizes the indexing app.
