Issue

The Box application is not configured to perform actions as users.

Resolution

  • In your Box Developer Console, navigate to your Box application → Configuration tab → Advanced Features
  • Ensure that “Perform actions as users” is checked/enabled and save the configuration changes
  • For JWT applications: after enabling this setting, ensure that a Box Admin has re-approved the application in the Box Admin Console
