Issue

Glean couldn't verify that the Box MCP server offers the get_download_url tool.

Resolution

Glean uses get_download_url to fetch file content through Box MCP.

Enable the required tool

If Glean reports that get_download_url is not enabled, ask a Box admin to complete these steps:

1. In the Box Admin Console, open Integrations.

2. Select the Box MCP Server tab to open enterprise-wide tool settings.

   If the Glean integration uses Custom configuration, return to Integrations and click Configure for that integration. Open its Box MCP Server tab instead. These settings override the enterprise-wide settings.

3. Open the file and folder tool category, turn on Get Download URL (get_download_url), and select Save.

4. Return to the Box connector setup in the Glean Admin console and select Connect again.

Retry the tool-list check

If Glean displays Glean could not list tools from the Box MCP server., select Connect again in the Box connector setup to retry validation. This error does not confirm that the tool is turned off.
