MCP_DCR_REJECTED

Issue

The MCP server's authorization server refused Glean's Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) request. Common causes are a server that requires an initial access token, a server that only allows approved clients, or registration settings that the server doesn't accept.

Resolution

1. Check the server's documentation for its registration requirements. Some servers ask an admin to approve or allowlist new clients first.
2. If the server allows only approved clients, ask the server's admin to allow Glean and its callback URL. Then click Initiate connection again, or click Connect if you're setting up a connector in Admin console → Platform → Connectors.
3. Otherwise, set up the OAuth client manually. See MCP_DCR_NOT_SUPPORTED for the steps.
