Installing the browser extension

Install the Glean browser extension to access the sidebar, Glean homepage, and companion from your browser. You can install from Glean setup or from your browser's extension store.

If your team is moving from embedded support integrations in Zendesk or ServiceNow, installing and signing in to the browser extension is the first step toward the replacement experience. Then follow Extension sidebar to use Chat, Search, and Agents in the browser.

Downloading browser extension

You have two options to install the extension:

• Visit https://app.glean.com/setup and follow the guided installation process for your browser.
• Install the extension through your browser's extension app store:
  • Chrome Web Store
  • Firefox Browser Add-ons
  • Safari
  • Edge
  • Brave

The browser extension supports Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Brave. After installation, sign in to Glean to use the sidebar.

Your admin may have installed the extension

If your organization manages browser extensions centrally, the extension may already be installed on your device. Open it and sign in instead of installing it again. Admins can see Deploy the browser extension to managed devices for centralized deployment.
