View sensitive findings flagged by policies
Prerequisites
- You must be a super admin or have the sensitive content moderator role enabled to create and view policies.
Sensitive findings summary
The sensitive findings summary page serves as a central dashboard, allowing you to monitor and manage occurrences your defined policies have identified as sensitive content. The summary page aggregates findings across your organization, giving you a list overview of recent policy matches.
From this dashboard, you can view key details such as the types and volume of sensitive content identified, which documents or data sources are involved, and which policies triggered the findings.
You can click into individual findings to access detailed context, such as:
- Document names
- Data sources
- Visibility
- Detection date
- Previews of matched content.
Once you see findings, you can click into the individual documents to review more detailed information, including:
- Findings or violations specific to the document
- Viewing of the content
- Document ID, an internally generated ID that is prefixed with the data source that the document belongs to
- Viewing URL of the document
- Email of the document owner, when known
- Email of the owner department, when known
- Accessibility level
- domain accessible: shared with all users in the org
- accessibility count above given threshold: shared with over N users, where N is the value chosen in the report setting
- anonymously accessible with link: accessible to anyone with link
- anonymously searchable: searchable and accessible to anyone
- Container name (eg: folder)
- Document type
- Data source
- Document last updated timeframe
Once you see findings, you can address these sensitive findings in your data sources, archive, or exclude these terms from your findings.
View and address findings
You can view, archive, or exclude policy findings for your organization in the sensitive findings page.
- Navigate to the Glean Admin console > Governance > Sensitive findings page, then select the policies tab.
- Select the menu icon for the finding you wish to address and choose either Archive this finding or Exclude this from future scans.
