Google Calendar Native Connector
Enabling this connector allows users to search for Google Calendar Meetings, use the Meeting Summary Agent on Home page, and use the Calendar action in Agents.

Feature Overview:
Meetings are an important part of your work. With the roll-out of Gcal native connector, we are releasing a collection of Search and Agentic features which help you find and interact with meetings as a first-class object. This release includes:
1. Transition from Gcal federated to native connector
2. Meeting Card result in Search: Find meetings faster with keyword search. If your search term matches a relevant meeting transcript, title or relevant documents attached to a meeting invite, you will see a hero structured result at the top. The structured result shows you the meeting participants, attached documents, transcripts and highlights matching snippets.

3: Calendar Results in Search using Operator search
Now, you can easily look up calendar results for meetings you have permission to view by using operators within clean search. Supported operators include:
- Updated: Reflects the start time of a meeting
- Type: Reflects the different event types. Currently only supports a single event type
- Organizer: Reflects the meeting organizer
- Participants: Multi-select field which allows a user
- Before and after: Find meetings before and after specified date-time
- How to use: Use ‘app: googlecalendar after:now’ to find all future meetings
4: Meeting Summary Agent on Homepage
Get quick summaries of past meetings, provided you’ve enabled Gemini note-taking or Gemini transcription. This feature also surfaces related experts and documents, helping you move forward with relevant next steps and stay productive.
How to use: Navigate to your Glean home page and click on the sparkle icon visible on any past meeting which was transcribed using Google Meet or had Gemini generated notes. This invokes the Gcal Meeting Agent in Glean, providing you a summary of action items, specific decision makers, suggested experts who may have additional knowledge about your action items and other documents related to your
Enablement steps

Customer admins should validate if Google Tools are setup for them. If not, Admins to follow the following steps:
- Go to “Admin Console” and click on “Data sources”
- Click on “Add data source” and select Google Tools
- Follow the instructions in “Setup”

Enable Feature Flag - file a ticket with Glean support to enable this for you.

Enable Google Calendar connector and begin the full crawl
- In the Admin Console select the Google Calendar connector
- Go to the Setup page
- Confirm the instructions that GDrive and Google Tools have been setup appropriately
- Hit Save - there are no additional permissions or scopes to be setup beyond GDrive and Google Tools
- Kick off a full crawl

- Events that occur in the future are indexed for a duration of up to two weeks.
- Events that have occurred in the past are indexed for a duration of up to six months.
- Meeting summaries are displayed on the home page only if a transcript or Gemini notes are available
