The Glean daily digest provides a summary of relevant information from selected Slack channels, allowing you to receive concise updates on your chosen channels and helping you stay informed. This is especially helpful when you’re trying to keep track of important conversations and updates in multiple Slack channels you may not be actively engaging with.

The daily digest works by allowing you to:

  • Subscribe to the channels you wish to receive updates from, whether you’re mentioned or not
  • Configure the timing of the digest delivery
  • Stop or modify your subscription easily

Once you’ve subscribed to a channel, Glean will automatically generate a summary of the most relevant information from that channel and deliver it to you via DM at the specified time.

Daily Digest updates daily on weekdays. Monday’s digest will include channel summaries of the weekend.

Configure Daily Digest

Glean console Admins can manage access to the Daily Digests feature for their organization.

If your organization uses Glean Keys, Daily Digest will be enabled by default.

Prerequisites

  • This feature requires a Glean assistant license
  • You must have Admin privileges to enable Daily Digest for your organization
  • The Glean Slack Connector must already be set up
  1. Navigate to the Admin panel.
  2. From the panel, select Data sources, followed by Slack.
  3. Under the Glean in Slack tab, select Enable Daily Digest.

Once Daily Digests are enabled for your organization, your users will receive a message from the Glean App in Slack prompting them to set up digests of their own. Every user can then configure their digest channels and time.
